Five new sneak peeks and behind the scenes video from last night’s episode of Almost Human. Sadly, we’ll have to wait four weeks for more of Det. Kennex, but we have all these videos and the six first episodes of the series to re-watch, so it’s not so bad! And remember that Walking with Dinosaurs 3D, the newest movie with Karl, opens this Friday in theaters. Just four days till then!
Karl seems to be confirmed to join the cast of The Wonder, or at least, that was what almost all movie sites announced last August. However, we haven’t had any updates since then. The film was set to start shooting last October, but no news about it have reached the net. What is true it’s that Karl is shooting Almost Human now, and he was doing it in October too, so it means that there would be some scheduling issues between the projects. Either The Wonder has suffered a delaying on the agenda, or Karl has abandoned the project. We’ll have to wait to know more about Karl’s more-than-possible next work.

Jump to the end of the article for the update
Well, not exactly, as Karl gives his voice to a modern-day human who takes his nephew and niece to the remote site in Alaska where he is excavating dinosaur remains. That is the beginning of the film Walking with Dinosaurs 3D, an animated movie which opens this Christmas. While Uncle Zack (Karl Urban) and his nephew and niece are in the excavation, they find a tooth from a Gorgosaurus and then a voiceover uses this discovery to led us to the story of Patchi (Justin Long), the main character of the movie, a Pachyrhinosaurus from the Cretaceous period. Then it’s when the main storyline begins, so we’re afraid that we’ll see (or better hear) very little of Karl in this movie, just a few minutes at the best.
Now, why haven’t we heard anything at all about Karl and this movie? Well, the truth is that as Karl plays a small role in it, he wasn’t mentioned as part of the cast on any related article from the past weeks or months. In fact, the movie wasn’t even listed in Karl’s filmography on IMDb until this week.
Anyway, we’re glad to have another new work of Karl this Christmas, even if it’s only for a few minutes.
Patchi (Justin Long) and Alex (John Leguizamo)
Walking with dinosaurs 3D opens December 20 and stars Justin Long (Patchi), John Leguizamo (Alex) and Tiya Sircar (Juniper).
For the first time in movie history, audiences will truly see and feel what it was like when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. WALKING WITH DINOSAURS is the ultimate immersive, big screen adventure for families. Meet dinosaurs more real than you’ve ever seen as you take off on a thrilling prehistoric adventure, where Patchi, an underdog dinosaur, triumphs against all odds to become a hero for the ages.

In case that you don’t remember, FOX organized a fan contest before Almost Human was released, which consisted on making your own version of the series official trailer. Today, FOX has shared a video with cuts from several fan submissions. Some of them are quite funny, enjoy it!
Official Trailer vs Fan Trailer:
Watch Karl Urban and Michael Ealy on the FOX lounge. Have you ever listened to Karl singing? Then this is your chance … at your own risk!
That is what Total Film and Hypable think about the new project of Karl Urban. As you know, most of TV and movie sites make their own “Best of” and “Worst of” lists when the year comes to its end, and 2013 is almost done. The (pleasant) surprise has been that two sites so far have included Almost Human on their lists, considering that the show has been on air for less than a month!
On Total Film‘s list of the 25 best shows of 2013, Almost Human is on the top ten. Here some of their reasons:
Why So Good? Though the sci-fi influences are obvious from the outset (Blade Runner, I, Robot et al), Urban is a lovably surly hero whose bromance with Ealy positively crackles (and incites jubilant cackles).
And here’s what Hypable thinks to pick the series as one of the best new TV shows this year:
The humor this duo share is better than most buddy cop shows and becomes progressively better with each new episode. Each week we explore a different aspect of the new technology used in this not-too-distant future world and it is enticing.
This are great news for the show and we hope that FOX consider this and the already loyal fans of the show when considering the future of the series.
